Description
Introduction
“Greenhouse Effect” is melting the Earth ice core every minute and creating dangerous icebergs. By knowing the exact concentration of CO2, we can do somehing to reduce the CO2 and to protect our Earth. For that reason, this CO2 sensor is designed by DFRobot engineer. This is the first CO2 sensor in Arduino market. The output voltage of the module falls as the concentration of the CO2 increases. The potentiometer onboard is designed to set the threshold of voltage. As long as the CO2 concentration is high enough (voltage is lower than threshold), a digital signal (ON/OFF) will be released. It has MG-811 sensor module onboard which is highly sensitive to CO2 and less sensitive to alcohol and CO, low humidity & temperature dependency. All components have industrial quality for stability and reproducibility. Onboard heating circuit brings the best temperature for sensor to function. Internal power boosting to 6V for heating sensor best performance. This sensor has an onboard conditioning circuit for amplifying output signal.
Application
Air Quality Control Ferment Process Control Room Temperature CO2 concentration Detection
9. ACROBOTIC MiCS6814 Combined Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, and Ammonia Gas Analog Sensor Breakout Board for Arduino Raspberry Pi ESP8266 MiCS-6814 5VDC CO NO2 NH3 VOC
Analog output sensor for measuring changes in Nitrogen Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Ammonia, Ethanol, Hydrogen, Methane, Propane, and Iso-Butane
Simply supply power and connect the NO2, CO, and/or NH3 (labels correspond to each gas sensor) pins to analog input pins on your Arduino, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, etc.
Operating voltage of 5VDC
perfect for DIY Weather Stations and Air Quality Monitors
Easy to use on a breadboard with the included 5-pin header
This breakout board provides a convenient way to start using the popular MiCS6814, a combined Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Ammonia (NH3) sensor with three independent elements sensitive to each gas. The MiCS6814 can also detect Ethanol, Hydrogen, Methane and other VOCs gases. The MiCS6814 detects the concentrations of gases in the air and outputs a corresponding analog voltage. The MiCS6814 is sensitive to Nitrogen Dioxide (0.05~10ppm), CO (1~1000ppm), Ammonia (1~500ppm), Ethanol (10~500ppm), H2 (1~1000ppm), and Methane/Propane/Iso-Butane (>1,000ppm). However, it can’t tell you which specific gas it has detected. Although the sensor works great, it should not be used for any safety, medical or finished product usage. All gas sensors require calibration for precision output.
The way the sensor works is by changes in its internal resistance, which is designed to be sensitive to changes in concentration of the target gases. The sensor features fast response, high sensitivity, and a wide range of detection.
This breakout board makes it easy to connect this sensor to your microcontroller board or single-board computer such as Arduino, ESP8266, BeagleBone or Raspberry Pi!
Features:
Power Supply: 5VDC
This breakout PCB facilitates using the MiCS6814 sensor, specially on solderless breadboards!
Sturdy (1.6mm), blue PCB with a 5-pin header on one side (VCC, GND, NH3, NO2, and CO)
5-Pin header included, but soldering is required!
