-If its in sleep mode for more than ~1 hour then the touch pad doesn’t turn back on. It is really frustrating to have to plug in a mouse, disable touch pad drivers, then turn them back on again. I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere on how to fix this. I would definitely give a 5 start if this issue was fixed.

For a $399.00, this laptop is excellent. Usually a laptop with these specs would probably cost around $500-600, so its really worth the price. Been using it for a few days and no problems so far. The touchpad functions great, but is a little too big, so that when the left hand is typing, it will touch the edge of the touchpad and make the cursor move. The screen/display monitor(?) is really thin and feels really fragile and so I would recommend not putting too much pressure on it, and not to use it for travelling because you can accidentally damage the screen. With the cpu core i5-5200u and the gpu Intel HD Graphics 5500, many games can be played, but obviously not the newest ones. (I will list some of the games for some of you who would want to know.)
It can play (*if set on high performance):
Dirty Bomb – low settings (30-40 fps)
Need For Speed Most Wanted – lowest settings (~30-35fps)
Minecraft – lowest settings (110-282 fps) or highest settings (45-59 fps)
Unturned – ULTRA settings (everything on and on ULTRA) (17-25 fps) or medium settings (44 fps-70 fps) or lowest settings (78 fps – 120 fps)

The 6gb ram is more than enough for what I use. The battery life is roughly a little over 3 hours on power plan set to high performance, I’m sure you can get an hour or two more if you turn down the brightness a bit and set power plan to power saver.
The Keyboard feels very nice and the top of the cover of the laptop feels extremely smooth as well as around the keyboard and trackpad. Definitely a must buy

I bought this for the I5 Processor so that I could do CAD.I have never liked touchpads, so a simply disabling of the device driver made that go away.Besides, touchpads and CAD really don’t go well together.PLEASE note that in order to upgrade the RAM you must take the entire computer apart, turnover the motherboard and replace the RAM.This could void the manufacturer’s warranty, so buy the extended warranty offered.I have been using Autodesk Inventor 2016 and Fusion 360 2015 on this computer for a week now and I am very satisfied with the results.For some reason, I am unable to install upgrades to the GPU which Fusion 360 is saying is underpowered.However, I have noticed no problems with the display or rendering in either Inventor or Fusion as is.This is a fast machine.Maybe not game fast, but plenty fast enough for the heavy resource loads I’m putting on it.

It does come with a lot of bloatware, but then who doesn’t.Uninstall what you don’t want, install all the upgrades from windows and what other software you are using and viola, you are off and running.I’m sure sometime in the future I’ll find some thing or another I’d like to see done different, but for the time being, I am well pleased with my machine.

This is a good value for the money.It it reasonably fast, the screen is reasonably good, and the price is right.What is really phenomenal for me is the battery life.I was coming from a three-year old computer where the battery was dying by degrees.It’s unplugged ability was never that great – about two hours tops, and at the end, that had dwindled down to 50 minutes.This one’s got a battery life of about 6 hours, which for me is an incredible improvement.

HOWEVER – you knew there had to be a however – there are a couple of quirks.I am having a difficult time using the two-finger expand motion on the trackpad.I just can’t seem to get that to work.This may be a Windows setting that I have to adjust, but I have looked for this.Also, the speakers just aren’t very loud.The headphones are plenty loud enough, but there are certain websites where the sound is definitely on the low side, even when the volume is maxed out, both on the website and on the computer itself.If loud speakers are important to you, this is definitely a reason not to get this computer.

UPDATE – July 10, 2016:Just wanted to update about the durability of this thing.I’ve had it almost a year, and it seems to be falling apart.The front right corner of the computer has separated, allowing one to look inside at the guts of the thing.I’ll have to glue this back together eventually.Also, there are little rubber feet all around the screen to keep the screen and keyboard from clomping together when you close the computer.One of these has fallen off, and I suspect others may follow.Finally, the "x" key is sorta stuck.I’ve really gotta mash down on it to get it show up while typing.Good thing it’s the "x" and not the "e"!

However, none of this has even the slightest effect on how well the computer itself works.Even after a year, the battery life is still very good, the recharge time is nice and short, and the computer continues to perform very well.
